Our VersaFlood hybrid steel and aluminum aggregate hopper car offers superior load capacity and corrosion resistance through the selective use of lighter weight aluminum for entire car body sides or for upper sections of the car body sides as determined by customer requirements. The VersaFlood design with transverse doors is also available in mild steel or stainless-steel design configurations, all with independent or fully automatic door operation.

The VersaFlood door system features our all-in-one touch pad control panel allowing each door pocket to be opened individually or all door pockets to be opened at the same time. Along with exceptional payload capacity, this versatile design features mechanically fastened sides and ends along with the superior strength and durability of our patented one-piece, cold-rolled center sill. Our VersaFlood car design also makes for a great conversion option and can be created from virtually any standard draft gear donor car design.
