FreightCar America’s VersaCoil™ line of coil gondola cars is superior for shipping finished steel coils. Our 10 transverse-trough or longitudinal configured VersaCoil gondola adds to our expanded line of steel coil car designs tailored to meet customer requirements. VersaCoil carries 30′ to 72′ coils in six troughs and 30′ to 48′ coils in four troughs which can be protected with lightweight insulated steel or aluminum covers that are easily handled during loading and unloading.

Available with 5, 7, 9, or 10 transverse troughs or in longitudinal configuration, VersaCoil gondolas enhance efficiency and productivity for shipping coils of all sizes and weights.
