FreightCar America’s Boxcar is built to efficiently protect a variety of products, including paper rolls, auto/truck parts and other valuable commodities during shipment.
Our 50′ 6″ and our 60′ 9″ plug door boxcars feature a smooth interior, wide plug doors for easy loading, extra side stiffeners and a cushioned underframe. These features help keep products dry and in good condition.
The stiffeners between side posts and extra-strong connection at the side sills are designed to withstand the stresses of loading and unloading of heavy paper rolls, large parts and other heavy products. The car includes smooth interior walls with recessed lading strap anchors.
