Jim Meyer is a dynamic entrepreneur with a history of building and growing national and multi-national companies. Drawing on his expertise in engineering, marketing and product development, Jim has led numerous organizations to achieve their potential. A firm believer in transparency, he develops organizations built on integrity and discipline.

As President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of FreightCar America, which was established in 1901, Jim oversees the vision and progress of the company as it positions itself for the next 100 years.

Prior to joining FreightCar America in 2017, Jim was named Chairman of the Board at Commercial Specialty Truck Holdings, LLC, a commercial truck manufacturer. Prior to that, he served as Chief Operating Officer of REV Group, the largest manufacturer of specialty vehicles in North America with presence in the fire and emergency, commercial and recreation markets. Jim also held leadership positions at Brunswick Corporation, Ford Motor Company and Mazda Motor Corporation. His assignments have taken him to Europe, Japan, and North America.

Jim holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, an MS in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Engineering from the University of Michigan.
